Capimvest’s managing partner Pierre Mahieu will be making a contribution to an upcoming conference organised by Febelfin on Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) regulation. With the positive vote of the European Parliament on the Commission’s set of proposals to regulate SFTs so as to improve transparency and quality of information for investors, the market is bound to see important impacts both on the front of the business itself and on compliance.
During the Febelfin event, the institution’s Director Financial Markets & Infrastructure, Mr. Jean-Paul Rousseau, is scheduled to deliver a presentation on “Overview of the legal aspects of the Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) Regulation on regulatory reporting, re-use of collateral and investors information for Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS)/ Alternative Investment Funds (AIF)”. The second presentation of the afternoon will be with Capimvest’s Pierre Mahieu, who will cover the impacts and implications of the SFT regulation. His presentation will be about “How the SFT regulation will affect our business: requirements, impacts on market participants and connection to Trade repositories (TRs)”.
